My last two "Twilight Princess" fanarts were kind of dark, so this time I wanted to make something a little more lighthearted. Also I've been wanting to draw Link with his farmer clothes since I saw them, so this was my chance. At first I didn't have in mind drawing Ilia, but when I finished drawing Link I thought of her and decided it was a good idea. She's a cute character after all.
The outline looked good, but when I started coloring it I relized that I should have used a bigger paper instead of the Din-A5 notebook I usually use for my pencil colored works. The details were too small and the tips of my pencils were a little rough. I think I managed to make a fair good work.
Anyway there's one think I don't like at all and is the rock walls. They don't look natural nor realistic at all. The final drawing looks nice anyway, but not as I imagined it.
It's a pretty good composition over all. All I would do is take a deeper gray and bring out the shades in the rock more..unless you used crayolas instead of prismas. They get very waxy, and even if you are like a painter at coloring, you can tell it's cheap pencils..
stippling or making cocentric marks helps put those pencils to excellent use in coloring.
